WABBE’s Criterion for Accreditation:

The World accreditation board for business education sets out requirements for educational institutions established worldwide. These institutions must adopt and meet quality standards, and achieving compliance will grant them accreditation.

CRITERION I: CLEARLY DEFINED MISSION

Institutions must have a mission and educational standards that are transparent and easily understood by the public. The institution’s goals, research focus, teaching quality, and academic offerings must be clearly communicated to all stakeholders.

iThe institution's mission statement, approved by its governing body, should articulate its purpose in higher education, provide direction for its operations, and be well-known within its community.

iiThe institution should define how it measures mission achievement through its goals, features, and expected outcomes, identifying specific results that indicate mission success.

CRITERION II:
MAINTAINING INTEGRITY

The institution must demonstrate integrity in its operations, engaging all levels—board, administration, faculty, staff, and students—in inclusive processes to fulfill its mission.

i-The organization’s management and administrative structures should foster effective leadership and collaborative procedures, enabling the achievement of its objectives.

ii-The institution must consistently maintain and uphold its integrity.

CRITERION III :
STUDENT LEARNING & TEACHING EFFECTIVENESS

The institution must provide evidence of successful student learning and effective teaching, demonstrating progress towards its educational objectives.

i-Educational programs must clearly define their learning objectives, facilitating effective assessment.

ii-The organization should prioritize and support high-quality instruction.

iii-The institution must create and sustain conducive learning environments.

CRITERION IV:
KNOWLEDGE APPLICATION

The institution should foster a culture of continuous learning among faculty, administration, staff, and students by promoting research, innovation, practical application, and social responsibility, in line with its mission.

i-The institution should demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning through the actions of its board, administrators, students, faculty, and staff.

ii-It should show that the acquisition of diverse knowledge and skills, along with intellectual inquiry, are integral to its educational programs.

iii- The institution should regularly assess its curriculum to ensure relevance in a global, diverse, and technology-driven society.

iv-The institution should provide resources to ensure that faculty, students, and staff responsibly acquire, discover, and apply knowledge.

CRITERION V:
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT & STRATEGIC PLANNING

The institution must have sufficient resources, structures, and processes to achieve its goals, improve the quality of its programs, and adapt to future challenges. It should plan strategically for the future.

i-The institution should pragmatically prepare for a future shaped by various social and economic changes.

ii-The institution’s resources should support its educational programs and its plans for maintaining and enhancing their quality in the future.

iii-The institution’s ongoing evaluation processes should provide reliable evidence of effectiveness, guiding the development of strategies for continuous improvement.

iv-All strategic planning should align with the institution’s mission, enhancing its ability to achieve that mission.
